You cannot, possibly in your human mind fathom the idea of forever. It’s a word we so often jump to when we’re “in love”, that somehow this will last until the end. This is not forever, and not reality. Is there people that last until their death? Of course. But our idea of forever is what screws that up. We, no matter how hard we try, will never possibly make it to forever as we are now. We will not be in this bodies, or saying these things, or in this reality. Maybe we’ll turn into energy balls and float into the wind together, maybe we’ll just die and rest in peace, maybe it’s heaven - but whatever it is, it’s not this. How can we say forever when we don’t even know what comes next? But what we can say is now. And still. I still like you, I still want to try.
